Liberty University, Hancock Visitor Center

Glass & Associates

The Hancock Welcome Center was constructed on a hill near Williams Baseball Stadium, where the old Hancock Athletic Center stood for many years. The style of the 32,000 square foot building is inspired by Jeffersonian architecture. Vast windows spanning two floors cover the majority of the exterior walls. The remaining walls feature a traditional red brick façade trimmed by white columns and a grand rotunda – its dome is copper clad and features a skylight at the top to shed light to all three floors. With large open floor plan, the building serves as a first stop for prospective students and their families, housing a visitors’ center, meeting rooms, and a plethora of office space.
